At BridgewellEAP, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the limited information gathered through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) platform. Our goal is to connect employees with the resources they need, while upholding the highest standards of data privacy and respect.


1.  What Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide access to wellness resources:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address

We may also collect anonymized data about general topics you explore (e.g., stress management, relationship issues, parenting needs)  to help us improve our offerings. This interest-based data is not tied to your name or email.

We do not collect or store:

  • Health or mental health details
  • Employment or financial data
  • Social security numbers or government IDs
  • IP addresses or device/browser identifiers
  • Cookies or location data (unless stated otherwise)

2.  Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information based on:

  • Your consent, provided when accessing the platform
  • Our legitimate interest in improving employee wellness and enhancing EAP services
  • Legal obligations, where applicable

We do not sell or use your data for advertising, marketing, or behavioral profiling.


3.  How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide access to external wellness and support services
  • Respond to inquiries and requests
  • Send follow-up emails related to the EAP (if you opt in)
  • Analyze general topic interest (in anonymized form) to improve future offerings

We will never use your personal data for marketing purposes or disclose it to external parties without your consent.


4.  Topic Interest Tracking

To better serve our users, we track interest in broad wellness topics such as:

  • Marriage or relationship support
  • Divorce support
  • Parenting support
  • Mental health education

This data is used to:

  • Identify areas of high interest or concern
  • Guide the development of more relevant services or partnerships
  • Create anonymous usage insights for program improvement

No personal identifiers (name, email, IP) are attached to this usage data. You remain anonymous in all reporting.

5.  Third-Party Services

When you select a service or support area, you may be redirected to a third-party provider. These providers:

  • Operate independently
  • Do not receive your name, email, or other data from us
  • Have their own privacy policies and practices

Please review their privacy policies before sharing any personal or sensitive information with them.


6.  Data Storage and Retention

  • Personal data is stored securely on encrypted servers
  • Access is limited to authorized personnel
  • We retain your data only as long as needed to fulfill the referral or as legally required
  • After that, it is securely deleted or anonymized

We implement industry-standard protections, including:

  • Encryption (in transit and at rest)
  • Role-based access controls
  • Routine security checks and monitoring

We do not collect or store sensitive categories of personal data that would increase your risk in the event of a breach.


8.  Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect or store information from individuals under 13 years old. If we learn that data has been collected from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request correction or deletion
